Teen Poetry Contest 2023
West Hartford residents and students in grades 6-12 are invited to submit their original poems via our Google Form by Sunday, April 30th.
Poems may be any style or length and up to two poems may be entered for judging.
Poets must submit one (1) copy of their poem by copy & pasting it into the Google Form.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners at the middle and high school levels will be awarded gift card prizes. Poems are read and judged by library staff and winners will be announced Tuesday, May 30th (edited 5/22/23). If you are selected as a winner, please email a PDF of your poem to kkarp@westhartfordct.gov.
Winning poems will be displayed in the Noah Webster Library teen room and be posted on the teen webpage for one year at https://www.westhartfordlibrary.org/teens/writing-contest-winners/.
