This year Carol Waxman is celebrating her 40th year at the West Hartford Public Library! Managing the children’s department brings Carol endless joy. She is constantly coming up with new ideas and ways to serve our youngest patrons. She is energized by the kids that come to the library, and she delights in talking to parents who came to the library as children and are now bringing their own children here.

Carol’s legacy in West Hartford is truly incalculable. Imagine how many kids learned to read, found a new favorite book, had a safe space to play, how many kids had their day brighten because they saw Mrs. Waxman. Because of her, so many people associate the library with joy and kindness and love. Thank you, Carol, for everything you have given to this town, and to all of us. Congratulations on 40 remarkable years!
